Design is about doing,Letter, Word, Sentence, Paragraph,Opposites - Initial ideas.

As the brief title was 'opposite', I decided to strip down the colours to purely black and white, allowing the concept and content to stand at the forefront of the design.

I started working with the idea of digitally displayed time in correspondence to a football match, simply writing '90:00 - Kick Off' which is completely and utterly opposite of how a football match works.

Other thanpurely wiriting the time with a contradictive phrase/saying underneath, I wanted to encorporate a level of visual wit into the typography. The far right design underneath physically slices the time display in half with the quote 'Full time' which I feel works rather well.

 

 

   

This set of 6 look at solely using type to visually communicate some typical oxymorons...
