21.5.11

Speaking from experience,
Final crit feedback,

Problem Analysis - very good.
Very practical solution to the problem, clearly taking something we need and producing it in a way we are more likely to use. Condensing it creatively resourceful. - More vibrant producing a better visual that the original planner.

Contextual Understanding - very good.
Looked at different  layouts, taken things into consideration such as space/months we aren't here, trying to advance and focus the planner.

Research - Excellent
Looked at a range of calendar type work from other designers. Very thorough evaluation of findings. The work found has definitely influenced development of work produced.

-It's a bit hard to read the dates on the weekend boxes. Try revising them so that the numbers are orange or maybe give the box an outline.

Thoughts about the crit...

In terms of feedback, a very positive set of comments and observations. Personally I wasn't too happy with the product at this point, picking up on what was said about the numbers being hard to read in the weekend boxes also I felt the text in the bottom right could have been slightly bigger. Alongside these points, the board I printed on is in a rather poor physical state, not worthy of photographing as a final  piece.
As the module deadline rapidly approaches it's a case of refining the design; inverting the numbers on certain months, enlarging text and really pulling it all together. Expose another screen and whip out some really crisp finished products for hand in.
