I want to have a general theme running through my silent movie, be it colour, typeface or even fill style, I just want to have a common characteristic that really binds the 5 silent movies together, Whether this happens once I start the next main brief is another issue but hopefullly I can keep some likeness between them.
I'm quite happy with this example of collide, more specifically the path's of each letter smoothly colliding together. I'm dubious about the increase of scale and drop of opacity at the end, two elements I storyboarded and bought forward to the practice, but definitely don't work for me at all.
A couple of tweaks, I introduced a 3D layer setting to each of the glyphs and played around with a couple of X and Y settings, just to give the text a little more life, opposed to sitting flat in the top left corner. Another change is the spreading out of the letters at the end opposed to the enlarging and fading. I may use this as a final edit for the Silent Movie brief, simple and effective I don't think I could make any more progress without changing the general idea of the clip.
