Much like the start of dig-dug and other old school arcade games, I wanted to recreate a binary-matrix-style glitchy screen of text that is constantly editing itself alongside colour change. The technique itself was pretty easy, using a text animator to offset all the characters.

After a while I ended up with effects layers in animations in text layers, at which point it became hard to keep an eye on what values were effecting what areas of the kinetic type.
I feel the colour is much too flat here, I want all the characters to be multicoloured and constantly changing, the motion of the text is pretty much bang on but I need to find a way around creating a multicoloured body of text without assigning multiple colour settings.
