After coming across the fact that the 'Chimp' store in Leeds has had a recent re-brand, I felt reluctant to use them as a base for my project, their website has had a professional re-vamp and their identity is quite strong already.
I wanted to tailor my brief in order for me to be able to work on a branding and identity brief with relation to the fashion industry, but was finding it hard to find a particular problem in doing so. I came across a store called Steady Guy (through use of their services), they are a clothing boutique catering for both men and women, predominantly online, but also claim to be pop up store specialists. I found this interesting, as it offers a more independant/abstract approach to the term 'shop', and could open itself up to a little bit more experimentation with the retail graphic side of the project.
Seeing as we have been recently further aquainted with web-design, it's hard to miss the fact that their website is particularly standard and features a squashed image advertising one of the brands they stock.
Overall I think this could really allow me to be more productive with the project and as a result hopefully produce a better response for a solid purpose.
