Visual Language - Spacial sequence.

Following on from looking at sequence over a 2D plain, we took inspiration from the Channel 4 trailers, bringing shapes together to create form from a certain perspective. I quite enjoyed the task as the concept has intrigued me for a while after being exposed to graffiti art that uses the same principles.

Working in groups we were to apply this concept to letters using coloured card. We decided to work underneath the tables on a medium to large scale at first.

Regrettably I didn't take an image of this sequence from a different perspective. However, it worked quite well and after a few tweaks to the tail of the 'R' and aligned the angle of shot we were happy.

After completing the larger-scale task we decided to work on a
table-topversion, working smaller, and in turn much trickier.
The image above is a shot out of perspective to create the 'R'.

I was impressed with the result of the smaller sequence, it came together crisper than the first attempt and posed more of a challenge to complete which got me enthused. The task opened up awareness of how much detail sequence can entail and reiterated simple letter form anatomy.
