What if,Pattern design

From looking at how to improve the abandonned building(s) in our chosen area, we came to the conclusion that a realistic end point for our project doesn't lie with physically re-developing the building. We decided to focus on the pure aesthetics of the building and introduce an active design to simply give the place a visually stimulating re-vamp.

We are proposing to produce a series of posters designs, looking at repetative pattern and colour to cover our chosen building, end to end.

 I started researching into simple symbols and came across a West African symbol for change;

'MMERE DANE' - "TIME CHANGES"

I really liked the simplicity and impact of this visual. The group took a liking to this concept, and all started to rework and play around with these shapes, working them into a pattern design.
