1.2.12

After looking for a short arcade-style jingle amongst the sound files I've been gathering over the past couple of weeks, I narrowed my choices down to a few that I could start working into a couple of ident experiments. The 6 below are all 8-bit style pieces of music, not necessarily from actual games but are still very representative of that period of gaming, surprisingly easy to find and it goes to show how influential this 8-bit era was - beat websites selling packs of 8-bit style sounds for hundreds of pounds, used in electronic music all over the world.

I chose to use the tune titled 'meowtek bitline3a', I trialed others but didn't want to export 3/4 movies solely for documentation purposes! It worked well in terms of length, corresponding exactly with the point in which the arcade machine had appeared and stopped all motion. I don't feel the arcade machine that grows is particularity matched with the beat, however I still feel it works, not too imposing or unexpected.

Also adding in another classic arcade game sound at the end when the 'arcade classics' title pops up has worked well. I didn't like the way the Dave logo entered the screen on the last edit at all, and after watching yet more classic gaming I had an idea for th logo to appear [on que of the bleep] whilst spinning, another little touch that is more suited to the content and works well as the Dave logo is perfectly representable of a coin.
