In order to have a clear direction in terms of design for audience and the product, packaging and identity side of the project, I've re-written the Rationalle to fit my current idea of promoting an event and product lauch of Nike Spray paint.
Rationalle
GOOD IS NIKE PAINT'S PRODUCT LAUCH.
WHY?
∆ Further widens the product base of Nike, extending into a different customer market, attracting new audiences.
∆ Puts a competative product on the market that could be outlet at a cheap price given the scale of the company involved.
∆ Initiates young artists/people to come together for a positive/creative purpose.
∆ Introduces a permenant communal artistic area situated in a more poverty/graffiti stricken area, in an attempt to lesser the more illegal activity.
∆
I inted to promote to a majoritarily artisticly inclined 16 - 25 year old audience the launch of Nike's new product adventure, Nike Spray Paint.
I want to explore the possibilitites of promotional design and events that could arouse an element of hype around the launch.
In order to achieve this I will produce conceptual and physical examples of promotional, packaging, branding and event layout design.
PRODUCT - What is my product?
∆ Spray paint
∆ Product launch event.
RANGE - What range of deliverables will I produce?
∆ Spray paint fascia design
∆ Package design
∆ Promotional material; Posters, flyers, Adverts on/offline,
∆ An event branding and mapping/wayfinding
∆ Lanyards (working a lot like the college system with different colours/style for people involved/visiting.
CONTEXT - Define the context in which my products will exist/be viewed.
∆ The physical product (spray paint) would exist in artistic supply outlets, on the shelf (or usually behind the counter)
∆ Event promotional material - Posters flyers advertisments would be viewed around Local areas of the planned Launch event.
∆ A certain amount of advertising would exist in an online environment, Art supply websites, the Nike store, adverts on local community websites.
∆ Lanyars would be handed out as part of the event, keeping artists and people involved
