I chose to run with this inter-game exploration. Quickly creating and animating a pac man character, much like the way I went about doing it for the other characters, Pacman however needed 3 layers to achieve a fluent eating motion with a fully open mouth every third frame.
Instead of just traveling round without any direction, I applied the auto-orient function to pacmans position values throughout.
I imported the artwork with Pacman facing the other way and therefore had to make him do a little flip before he came into shot in order for the auto-orient to work, simply flipping the y axis and trying to get auto orient to work didn't happen for me at all, and given it was such a small factor didn't become to much of an issue.
This little clip below is where I'm up to and I'm really unsure of how to move on from this pacman scene, so I shall get back to the drawing board a start playing out some ideas. A main change in the video and frames above is the route of PacMan, I decided to get him to come back up to the top before he leaves the frame, which was a case of just adapting the photoshop artwork, perfectly fitted once opened back up in After Effects.
